State Network Conference

Good Shepherd Food Bank will be hosting its first statewide conference for partner agencies focused on ending hunger in Maine. The purpose of the State Network Conference 2012 is to support agency staff and volunteers who are on the front lines of hunger relief and engage with each other to share ideas, challenges, and best practices.

Diane L. Dunton M.S., President of Potential Released Consulting Services and former Board Chair of Good Shepherd Food Bank, has over 25 years of business and human resource experience. She has worked with numerous organizations from the private, public and non-profit sectors. Through the leadership program and strategic planning she offers as an executive coach, Diane assists organizations in creating compelling strategies to meet complex and challenging business demands and the needs of individual professionals.
Diane L. Dunton is a recognized leader in the area of business and team leadership, organizational development and embracing change. Her message is that individuals, groups and organizations that acknowledge and celebrate their connections to personal interests and passion are more effective in their work and personal lives.
Closing Keynote: Strategic Planning for a Hunger Free Maine

Patrick has contributed to nonprofit and business expansion success for 13 years. Focusing on agriculture and food industries, Patrick has leveraged creative solutions and systems-thinking in management, development, and capacity-building roles. His education includes a B.S. in Agriculture Information Science, multiple certifications and a Masters in Nonprofit Management. As a consultant, Patrick bridged rural businesses into national markets by conducting over 55 workshops through tailored business development plans. Working with food banks, Patrick has been responsible for IT, philanthropy, and executive leadership throughout multiple capacities.
Working for Feeding America, Patrick currently provides organizational assessments and capacity building for nonprofits in the Northeast sector. This sector is comprised of nine states and 33 organizations that raise more than $200M and distribute over 375M meals to 8.2M needy families each year. Providing technical assistance for more than 1,300 staff members, Patrick’s range of experience encompasses resource building, operations, program management, and distribution channels. Primarily, Patrick is focused on creating fully developed strategic plans that ensure daily and long-term mission success.
