Corporate Opportunities
In-kind donations: Good Shepherd Food-Bank is continually seeking donations of products and services to keep our costs down and direct our limited financial resources towards feeding the hungry. We often need: gently used office equipment, kitchen equipment, fork lifts, pallet jacks and other trucking supplies, printing and mail services, photography, and gift items.
Grants: We accept one-year and multi-year grants for General Operating Support and for various programs such as our Food Mobile and Purchased Food programs. Please contact Bob Dodd for more information at 207-782-3554 or bdodd@gsfb.org.
Sponsorships: Good Shepherd Food-Bank offers many event and food drive sponsorship opportunities. Sponsors receive benefits such listings in invitations, Food-Bank quarterly newsletters; placement in statewide print media ads, and signage at events. Good Shepherd Food-Bank is a recognized name and brand that brings added value to our corporate partners.
Non Event: Tired of those endless office holiday parties? Wish your company wouldn't spend so much when so many people are hungry? Well many companies opt out of the same old same old holiday celebration and give in the spirit of the season by donating the funds they would have spent on a party to Good Shepherd Food-Bank - we'll put it to immediate good use.
Food and Fund Drives: Organize and Encourage employees to participate. More information can be found here.
Volunteer: We welcome corporate groups at our Auburn warehouse to help us inspect and sort food, in addition to many other activities. Visit the Volunteer section of our site for more information.
Dress Down for Hunger: Your employees may appreciate the opportunity to have a casual, yet still business -friendly- attire day of wearing jeans to work. Many businesses have been successful at promoting this by having employees contribute a donation each week to have the privilege of participating.
Round-Up: Give your customers the opportunity to 'Round Up' their payment for your services or products to the nearest dollar or more to Good Shepherd Food-Bank.
Social Media Campaign: Offer an incentive for new "Likes" on your company's Facebook page - for each new "Like" up to a certain amount, your comapny will make a donation to Good Shepherd Food Bank. For more information about partnering with Good Shepherd Food Bank through social media, contact Clara McConnell at cmcconnell@gsfb.org.
