Good Shepherd Food Bank Announces New Board Members

AUBURN, Maine – Good Shepherd Food Bank, Maine’s largest hunger-relief organization, announces the appointment of two new board of directors’ members, David Reifschneider and Christopher Rogers.

David Reifschneider, from Woolwich, Maine, is recently retired after a long career as an economist with the Federal Reserve Board. Most recently, he served as Special Advisor on monetary policy to Chair Janet Yellen; prior to that, he was Deputy Director of the Board’s Research and Statistics Division, with responsibility for managing the Federal Reserve’s wide-ranging research program in macroeconomics. He is also the author of many research papers on monetary and fiscal policy, and has taught at Colby College and Georgetown University. Reifschneider holds a PhD. in economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and a B.S. in economics from Cornell University.

Christopher Rogers, WMS, from Falmouth, Maine, is the managing director and senior vice president, investments, at the Portland Harbor Group of Raymond James. He has also served on the Good Shepherd Food Bank’s Governance Committee since 2017. As a founding member of Raymond James, Rogers focuses on estate planning and wealth transfer, macroeconomic research with a focus on successful retirement outcomes. He also determines asset allocation for the group’s five investment models. Rogers majored in economics and government at Bowdoin College and is a lifelong resident of Maine who is an active member of the Greater Portland community.
