Join us for #GivingTuesday on December 1!

Each year, after the celebration of Thanksgiving, and the hustle of shopping days like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, nonprofits organizations around the world take a day to celebrate #GivingTuesday.

This year, Good Shepherd Food Bank asks friends and supporters to join us on December 1, 2020, to let kindness and generosity supply nutritious foods that help Mainers thrive. For the first time in Food Bank history, every dollar will help provide food for 12 meals! The first $25,000 in #GivingTuesday donations will be matched THREE TIMES, thanks to incredibly generous donations from TD Bank, Darling’s Auto Group, and Viking Lumber.

#GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people worldwide to stand together in unity. At a time when we are all experiencing this pandemic, generosity is what brings people of all races, faiths, and political views together across the globe. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in others’ lives and is a fundamental value anyone can exhibit.

Good Shepherd Food Bank serves all 16 counties in Maine, from Kittery to Fort Kent, and partners more than 500 nonprofit agencies operating on the frontlines of hunger relief, including food pantries, meal sites, school programs, and health care centers. This year, with the help of thousands of kind Mainers, the Food Bank will distribute over 31 million pounds of food to our neighbors in need. Will you join us?

On #GivingTuesday, consider helping those who don’t always have enough to eat. During Good Shepherd Food Bank’s #GivingTuesday campaign, every dollar you donate can help provide food for 12 meals! Please take advantage of this special opportunity to let Mainers facing hunger know they are not alone when your gift will have 4x the impact!
