Food Mobile Calendar
The Food Mobile is a “pantry on wheels” that delivers high-quality, nutritious food to communities across Maine. Distributions are year-round and conducted outdoors.
Information published on this calendar is subject to change.
Who can get help?
Anyone who attends a distribution is assumed to need assistance; individuals are only asked for household size and town of residence.
What should I bring?
Please bring several large bags and/or a rolling cart.
What kind of product is offered?
Fresh produce, perishable, and non-perishable food items; specific items depend on availability.
How much food is provided?
30 to 50 pounds per attendee. Limits on each item are determined just before a distribution begins. Attendees can decline or take less of anything they don’t need.
Is more food provided to larger households?
The Food Mobile is loaded with product based on an estimate of the number of households attending. Each household receives the same amount of food. If there is additional product 20 minutes prior to the end of the distribution, households may receive more product.
What should I do if I can’t attend?
You may send someone to pick up food on your behalf. If that person also needs food, they will need to go through the line twice. Priority for this program is given to those who are present.
Who should I contact if I have additional questions?
Good Shepherd Food Bank (207-782-3554 or firstname.lastname@example.org)
Will there still be a distribution if the weather is bad?
There will be no Food Mobile distribution when Good Shepherd Food Bank’s Auburn facility is closed or the local school system is closed. Inclement weather closings are posted on all major news stations.
