This Hunger Action Month, the Feeding America network is reminding communities that assembly is required. Farmers, advocates, volunteers and donors all play an important role in building a system that helps ensure neighbors have access to the food they need. Every action is a piece of the solution.

When we come together, our individual efforts become part of a larger movement helping feed millions and strengthen communities. This Hunger Action month, assembly is required, your action is the missing piece.

Good Shepherd Food Bank is committed to the belief that involving volunteers in its operations is a necessity for carrying out its mission of providing increased access to food for those at risk of hunger in the state of Maine. Volunteers participate in a variety of projects based on the present need of our distribution centers.
