- To participate in the Mainers Feeding Mainers (MFM) program, the farmer/grower must support the mission of Good Shepherd Food Bank.
The mission of Good Shepherd Food Bank is to eliminate hunger in Maine by improving access to nutritious food to people in need, building strong community partnerships, and mobilizing the public in the fight to end hunger.
- To participate in the MFM program, the farmer/grower needs to be located in an area that food insecurity needs are currently unmet.
- To participate in the MFM program, the farmer/grower needs to agree to the set pricing created by Good Shepherd Food Bank.
- To participate in the MFM program as a farm-to-pantry partner, the farmer/grower needs to be able to supply 300 lbs. or more of produce.
- To participate in the MFM program as a farm-to-warehouse partner, the farmer/grower needs to be able to supply 1500 lbs. or more of produce.
- To participate in the MFM program providing seafood, the partner must be able to package the seafood in 1 to 2 lb. packages.
