Hannaford announces voluntary ground beef recall

Good Shepherd Food Bank receives ground beef products from Hannaford on a regular basis and it is highly likely that we have received and distributed product being recalled.

Important instructions for all partner agencies

1. Review the product recall information online at the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service website.
2. Check your inventory for the recalled product.
3. Before disposing of the product in a secure trash receptical, please remove the beef from its packaging to discourage consumers from salvaging it from the trash.
4. Do as much as you can to inform your consumers about the recall and instruct them to dispose of the beef.
