Apple Corps is a volunteer recognition and ambassador program. It honors volunteers for their service to the food bank, recognizes volunteer leaders, and supports food bank ambassadors within the community.
Apple Corps Volunteer Program
Good Shepherd Food Bank’s Apple Corps program publicly recognizes our dedicated volunteers after reaching the following hourly milestones:
Cortland, donating over 100 hours in one year
McIntosh, donating over 200 hours in one year
JoAnn Pike Volunteer Service Award honors volunteers who have acquired 500 hours of service

Eligibility:
The Cortland and McIntosh levels are earned based on the hours served in 1 year, while the JoAnn Pike Volunteer Service Award is awarded to volunteers who have completed 500 or more hours in their time with the food bank.
Volunteer hours are eligible starting January 1, 2021, and will be assessed quarterly.
Volunteer eligibility for these awards will be confirmed through recorded hours on the volunteer database.
Hours will not be included for hours required for court, a compensated job training program, or national service programs.
